Who we are

FindUrDinner is operated by Casper Media LLC, based in Pennsylvania, USA. You can reach us at hello@findurdinner.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to make the app work:

• Location data — Your device's GPS coordinates or a city/zip code you enter manually. This is used only to find nearby restaurants. Location is processed on your device and sent to our server only when you spin. We do not store your location history.
• Preferences — Your filter settings (cuisine, budget, radius, dietary needs) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not store these on our servers.
• Reports — If you submit a report about a restaurant, we store the restaurant ID and the issue you described. Reports do not include any personal information unless you choose to include it in the notes field.
• Restaurant owner accounts — If you register as a restaurant owner, we collect your name, email address, and restaurant information. Passwords are stored securely using industry-standard hashing.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information when you use the app as a diner
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
• We do not build advertising profiles
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use analytics SDKs that track individual users

Location data

FindUrDinner requests access to your device's location to show you nearby restaurants. Location access is optional — you can manually enter a city or zip code instead. When you grant location access:

• Your coordinates are used only to calculate distances to restaurants
• Your exact coordinates are sent to our server only when you spin
• We do not store a history of your location
• We do not share your location with third parties

You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings under Apps → FindUrDinner → Permissions.

Third-party services

FindUrDinner uses the following third-party services:

• Google Places API — Used to import restaurant data. We do not share user data with Google through this integration. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Stripe — Used to process payments for restaurant owner subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. We never see or store your full payment card details.
• Railway — Our API and database are hosted on Railway. Data is stored in the United States.

Data retention

Restaurant reports are retained until reviewed and resolved by our team. Restaurant owner account data is retained for as long as the account is active. You may request deletion of your owner account at any time by emailing hello@findurdinner.com.

Children's privacy

FindUrDinner is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
